Directed by Professor Caroline Jackson. Our specialists have been engaged in consultancy and collaborative research on academic and commercial projects for many years. We have expertise in many aspects of materials analysis and also in soil analysis. We have worked on archaeological samples from Britain, Continental Europe and the Near East, and from all types of context and period.
Analysis of archaeological materials can provide important information on the composition of artefacts, and also elucidate their technology and sometimes their provenance.
