   Waun Mawn

Waun Mawn (Pembrokeshire) is a dismantled stone circle located close to the quarries that are the source of the Stonehenge bluestones. Archaeological dating techniques have shown that Waun Mawn slightly pre-dates Stonehenge, and it is thought that it may have been moved to form part of that later monument. Researchers in the Sheffield Archaeobotanical Consultancy, which is part of ARRaS, are undertaking analysis of archaeobotanical evidence from the site which has been recovered through flotation.
